Editing Repair Line Items
IMPORTANT TIP: When Data Entry Fields are ready for entry, they are highlighted in yellow. When you are finished entering data in a field, Press the ENTER Key to go on to the next field. If you need to go back, use the Mouse or Press the UP-Arrow Key.
1) Go To the Estimate Screen, Press the "L" Key (Lines).
Now Press the "E" Key to Edit Line Items.

2) The First Line is Highlighted and Ready For Editing.
a) Use the Mouse or Arrow Up/Down Keys to navigate to the Line you want to edit. You can also use the PageUp/Down Keys.
b) To Edit a particular field, just Double-Click the field you want to edit.
c) When editing a field with your keyboard, be sure to Press the ENTER Key to Save your changes.

Note the Green "EDIT LINE ITEMS" Indicator when you are in Edit Mode.
To Exit The Edit Mode: Press the Escape(Esc)
3) To Edit the Operation Description:
Double-Click on the Operation Field. A drop-down list will appear. Use the mouse to select your choice. If the operation is correct, press The ENTER Key.

4) Edit the Quantity and Description Fields.
a) Double-Click on the field. When the field has a yellow highlight, it is ready for editing. These two fields can only be edited from the Keyboard.
b) The Quantity Field is for Replace Operations only. The default number is set to 1.
c) To save your changes, press the Enter Key.

5) To Edit the Parts-Type Field.
The Labor Operation must be set to "Replace" to edit the Parts-Type.
Double-Click on this field. The following Drop-Down Window List of different part types appears.Select your choice with your Mouse or you can use the Up/Down Keys to Select your choice. Then Press th ENTER Key to Save.

6) Edit the Part Price Field.
Double-Click the Price Field and you can enter the parts price. Press the ENTER Key when done.
If you have a lot of parts that require prices, you can enter them all at once after you complete adding all of the Line Items.

7) Edit the Labor Time Field.
Double-Click the mouse over the labor times field (to the Right of the Labor Time Field. Enter the value you want and then Press the ENTER Key to Save..

8) Edit the Labor Rate Flag.
Double-Click the mouse just to the right of the Labor Field. This field is usually blank-which means it is flagged for the Body/Chassis Rate. The following Drop Down Window of Labor Rate Types appears, you can use your Mouse or the Up/Down Keys to Select your choice. Then Press ENTER.
If Frame or Mechanical is chosen, the Flag would be "M" or "f". The appropriate labor rates will apply to the final estimate calculations.

9) Edit the Paint Time.
Double-Click the mouse over the paint time field. Enter the value you want and then Press the ENTER Key.

10) Edit the Paint Option Flag.
An asterisk(*) to the right of the paint time indicates the part is painted with Base Coat/Clear Coat OR Tri-Coat paint. If for some reason you want to remove this option flag, Click this field with your mouse. To insert the "*" again, click it again. This will effect the paint and paint material calculations.

11) Add/Edit a Line Item Note.
Press the "N" Key to Edit the contents of the Line Item Note. Press the ENTER Key when finished and the note will be saved and disappear from the line items screen.

12) Enter and Save your Line Item Note.
You can write your note in the yellow highlighted note field. Press the ENTER Key to save the note.

13) How To Edit Newly Added Line Items.
If you need to edit or delete a newly added Line Item, just click the Estimate Line Items Window located at the bottom of the screen. Then use the mouse to click on the line item field that you want to edit. If you want to Delete a Line Item, just Press the DELETE Key (Be sure the Line Item is not in Edit Mode).

Return to the Parts-Labor Database Window.
Using your mouse, Click on the Parts-Labor Database Window - located at the Upper Right hand of the screen. Now you may resume adding more line items. .
